Description:
- An adequate supply of calcium is an essential requirement for a perfect, thriving reef aquarium. DuplaMarin calcium reactors increase the calcium concentration and carbonate hardness (hydrocarbonate) in the seawater aquarium easily and safely and contribute to optimum water values. To this end, calcium hydrogen carbonate, along with the required balancing carbon dioxide, is continuously added to the aquarium. The calcium reactors can be connected via a separate pump or throught the filter\'s main feed pump bypass. Automatic regulation can be implemented via a pH control system. DuplaMarin Siliphos Filter
Description:
- The compact Siliphos disposable filter, filled with 840ml of Dupla Siliphos, can be connected to any common filter type. It can also be operated with a feed pump and is compatible with the connection of a downstream osmosis system (to bind any silicate residues present in the permeate). Consistent use of the highly effective, fine-grained filter media Dupla Siliphos ensures that phosphate and silicate levels are kept as low as possible and water values in the aquarium are optimised. DuplaMarin Sulphur Nitrate Filter 75
Description:
- High concentrations of nitrate can cause serious problems in the reef aquarium, often resulting in the loss of fish and corals. DuplaMarin Sulphur Nitrate Filters have been developed to reduce the amount of nitrate in the aquarium simply and effectively. The autotrophic denitrification employed here is many times more efficient than the traditional method using heterotrophic bacteria. Also, there is no need to feed the bacteria with further nutrient solutions (such as alcohol, sugar or acetic acid), which pollute the water considerably and can deeply disturb the equilibrium in the aquarium. In the sulphur nitrate filter, the sulphur serves both as a lasting source of nutrients and, because it is insoluble in water, as a substrate for the bacteria. The sulphur is used up at a very slow rate. Sulphur nitrate filters are virtually maintenance-free for the aquarist to run.
